My dog Aja, was referred to Paradise Pet Therapy in August 2007.  She had surgery on her shoulder and her elbow in May 2007 and was still walking with a significant limp.  Aja had been a champion agility dog and at this point, I felt like I would need to retire her.  I was very sad about this as Aja loved doing agility.  But, even more importantly,  I wanted her to be comfortable.  I was worried she was in constant pain.

Aja was evaluated thoroughly by Dr. Cheryl Burke and her excellent rehabilitation staff who developed a plan for her.  This included under water treadmill therapy two times a week as well as home exercises.  Chris Rico is her head therapist and she is assisted by Joann Watson, Mallory, Liz and Melissa.  I cannot say enough for what they did for Aja.  Through their expert compassion and care, they have gotten her back to where she can do agility.  In fact, she went to the North American Dog Agility Championships in 2008 and placed 2nd overall in her division.  Dr. Burke followed her closely during her rehabilitation and the plan was adjusted as Aja continued to gain strength.  Aja continues to go to underwater treadmill therapy once a week.  She has maintained her strength and continues agility.   I took my younger dog, Beckham, to Paradise as he was having some issues with jumping which appeared to be related to some acquired structural issues.  Again,  Dr. Burke and her staff evaluated him and developed a plan.  He is now competing in agility and making incredible strides.

I highly recommend Paradise Pet Therapy for rehabilitation.  Their expert knowledge and skill can help your dog achieve as much as possible. In addition, their compassion and support for both dog and owner is incredible.  They are truly "family" centered.  I feel incredibly lucky that they are here in Baltimore.

Thank you so much for all the care and love you have shown Raleigh.  She is part of our family and it is touching to see people who love her and want her to get better as much as we do.  Thank you for everything you've done for our family.  I know with your help she will get better.  Thank you again.

Mere words could never express to you how grateful we are for the work you did with our Snowball.  He means so much to us and it is heartbreaking to see him disabled.  He is doing well and we thank you for that. What a wonderful career you have helping rehabilitate the animals and also making the owners feel better.  How rewarding at the end of your day!  God bless you and may your career continue to flourish.

Snowball Update:

Here he is!  He has his Christmas bow tie on and is exploring in the backyard with Buffy--Looks like they found a good smell under the palm trees.  You can see by the picture that he learned real well how to "go wide".  Actually I think he had just turned himself around and was getting repositioned.

Everyone said Bruni looked great this past weekend and I know she wouldn't be that way without all your work so thanks again.

Our dear Trotski just celebrated his 11th birthday and we wanted to send you photos of this event.  Without your care and expertise this would not have been possible.  Looking back at what you all did for him/us in early 2009, we are exceptionally grateful.  Thank you for extending the life of our dog and returning him

A big thanks to three of the most dedicated people I know.  In a very short time you have put me back on my feet, helped me to stand tall and allowed me to take back my yard from all the small critters.  Thanks to all your hard work I was able to plow through three feet of snow, play tag with my sister, and play snowball catch with my mom.  Most importantly I made three good friends that I can't wait to see every week.  You have make me a very happy and very playful pup once again.  Oh sorry about the wet tail in the face, it's just my way of smiling back at you.
